Milk Sister

Ammu used to call her Paalechi ("milk sister"). Paal is milk and chechi is sister. Chechi gets shortened to echi in a loving way. Ammu thinks her name was Kamala, though she is not sure about it. So she was Paalechi, always their Paalechi. She used to deliver milk twice daily to the houses in the neighborhood. She had few cows at her home and she used to milk the cows and sell the milk. This was her livelihood. She used to have 2 bags to cary the milk bottles, one in each hand. One of those was a plastic basket and other was a cloth bag. The jars were clear glass with metal/plastic lids. Every day when she delivered milk, it was either Ammu's duty her sister's duty to bring the bottle inside, pour the milk in to a container, clean her bottle and bring it back to her. This used to take few minutes. So, every other day (when it was not Ammu's duty), Ammu used to sit on the front step to chat with Paalechi. She usually sat in the step below Ammu and used to r

Confession

I have never been in love But I know one thing for sure When it happens to me, it is going to ruin everything around me It is going to come down like a wildfire raging through the forest and burn down everything in its path It is going to come down like gushing water after a dam's surprise opening and washing away entire villages It is going to destroy my family as I have known it It is going to alter my life as I have perceived it Thus giving plenty of grief to my near and dear It is going to be a pandora's box And most of all, it is going to destroy you and me together I can't be the reason for that shattering I would rather take the pain of the loss even before I found it I have to be very cautious So Goodbye my lover even before I met you Goodbye my midlife crisis Good bye all my desires Good bye all my longings and passions and feelings and rhythm of my heart! I am strong and I can do it I don't know any other way to live but this But lastly

Together

Image
Will you sit under those trees with me one day? Together, let us hear the birds chirping Let us inhale the scent of the fresh earth after the first rain and the fragrance of the flowers Let us hear the stream running down the slope Let us look into the depth of each other's eyes Let us make love Let us eat and feast after that I hope you can see the tears rolling off my cheek Let us not worry about anything else but be each other's!

What is your most favorite word in English language?

On and off, I think about my favorite words. Of course, it has an impact on who utters the words. For example, British accent is very sexy with some words North American accent is very confident with some words. Persian accent is very romantic with some words. But, in general, what are few words you like to hear again and again? If I had to choose one word, I would say it is the word "desire". I have heard some people letting this word out which is enough to make you wet(or hard) depending upon which sex you are and which is the opposite sex you prefers(male/female- no judgement here). At the same time, it is very dreamy! It can convey a message way more than just what the speaker intents. It can go deep in your heart and poke a hole there which can only be mended by the speaker himself (or herself). So my word is DESIRE. What is yours?

Most romantic poem by a Sufi poet

The most romantic words I have ever read: I am yours. Don't give myself back to me -by Rumi, the Sufi poet from 13th century Persia It is easy, uncomplicated, intoxicating, romantic, full of desire and dreams. If someone says this to you, will you be ever able to not to love him/her until eternity!

Words coming!!! pouring down

My blog had been forgotten for almost a decade even by me. It is about time! To rejuvenate my love for writing! To unleash my passions! To be liberated from the chains of social norms! I have tried prudent planning Now on, I'll be mad - by Rumi
